 FOR THE FIRST TIME

భారత నారీమణులు మరో కీలక బాధ్యతలు నిర్వర్తించనున్నారు. ఇప్పటి వరకు అన్ని రంగాల్లో రాణిస్తున్నవారు ఇకపై భారత వాయుసేనకు చెందిన ఫైటర్ జెట్ పైలెట్లుగా అడుగుపెట్టనున్నారు. అంతర్జాతీయ మహిళా దినోత్సవం సందర్బంగా ఎయిర్ చీఫ్ మార్షల్ అరుప్ రహా ఈ విషయం స్పష్టం చేశారు.

'ప్రస్తుతం ముగ్గురు మహిళలు స్వచ్ఛందంగా ఫైటర్ జెట్లలో పైలెట్లుగా పనిచేసేందుకు ముందుకొచ్చారు. వారు ఇప్పుడు రెండో దశ శిక్షణలో ఉన్నారు. ఆ శిక్షణను కూడా పూర్తి చేస్తే జూన్ 18 న పురుష పైలెట్లతో కలిసి పరేడ్‑కు వస్తారు. ఈ అద్బుతాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించేందుకు అనుమతిచ్చిన కేంద్ర రక్షణమంత్రి మనోహర్ పారికర్ కు ప్రత్యేక ధన్యవాదాలు చెప్పుకుంటున్నాను' అని ఆయన అన్నారు. దీంతో ఈ ఏడాది జూన్ 18 నుంచి భారత వైమానిక దళంలోకి తొలి మహిళా పైలెట్లు అడుగుపెట్టనున్నారు.
